The Madras High Court recently sentenced an advocate, who was also a tenant, to 4 months imprisonment and imposed a fine for disobeying court orders.

This judgment was delivered after the lawyer failed to comply with an eviction order. The court strongly emphasized that even advocates must obey the law, and no one is above court directions.
